Over the last few years many of you have told us many stories of how you have been treated by the car hire companies in Valencia and Alicante. A long time queuing at the office in the airport;The extra insurance they try to sell you; expensive fuel costs; large deposits against your credit card, etc etc.
We too have found this to be very frustrating. Its important to us that your holiday is hassle free and as relaxing as it can possibly be and this approach is just totally unacceptable.
So, with that in mind, I have been discussing my frustrations with a company based here in Javea, Autos Javea SL. They still deliver your hire car to the airport but you do not have to queue.

“I quote clear “what you see is what you get” prices … there are no surprise extras on arrival … no top up insurance … no large deposit held on your credit card … no charge for extra drivers etc.
On arrival we aim to get you into the car as quickly as possible. My agent meets you in the terminal and walks you across to the car in the car park … if we have licence / payment details in advance, then the process is as simple as signing the contract, paying the car park ticket and getting on your way … no long queues in the terminal!
Drop off is equally simple … we have a key drop car permanently parked in the car park … park nearby and post key and ticket into key drop car.
We do not charge an excess as such but will pass on the cost of loss of keys, damage to tyres and wheels and the interior, the repairs to the car in the event of a break-in when something has been left on display and all costs associated with putting the wrong fuel in the car.
To confirm a booking we require copies of the driving licences of all named drivers (for insurance purposes), UK and Spanish address, full flight details and a holding credit card number and expiry date. A contact mobile is also useful just in case”.
They are a smaller company than those at the airport and do have a regular clientele and in the height of the summer can sell out of cars very quickly.
